Summer 2008
Busy summer for us, with its share of ups and downs. The biggest news is Adrian has officially retired from fighting. He ended his career on a high note. Defeating his opponent early in round one. He will continue to train and promote mixed martial arts fighters.
April 19, 2008: Konquer The Kage
Milwaukee area mixed martial artist, Karl Turek, continues with his win streak by defeating his oppenent via verbal submission.
Congrats to Dale Sherman in his mma debut winning his fight by rear naked.
April 12, 2008: Waukesha Wrecking
Milwaukee area mixed martial artists, Caleb Krull and Jacob Kuester, took to the cage on Saturday. Kuester won decisively, while Krull suffered another tough defeat.
March 29, 2008: Konquer the Kage
Milwaukee area MMA fighter, Jim Vanderwielen, suffered his first loss as a member of Adrian Serrano's Combat Sports Gym. Jim came out swinging landing 2 beautiful head kicks. The second, which he landed with his shin dazed his opponent and then the fight went to the ground. His opponent was able to recover. In a scramble Jim turned and was choked out in round 1.
With his ever developing hand skills and his already solid jiu jitsu, expect Vanderwielen to bounce back better than ever before.
March 15, 2008: King Grappler, Madison
We had mixed results in the King Grappler tourney out in Madison. Officer Ray Ray Brock had 4 tough matches. Unfortunately losing them.
Jose, which I don't know his last name but will have to get it soon, took home a sword from his division. Taking all 4 of his matches in his beginner division.
Greg walks away with another 2nd place finish in the under 175 division in the King Grappler. He had a 30 man bracket to get through. Maybe he will finally get thrown into the WI jiu jitsu rankings. Keep an eye on Greg. I think he's on a mission to not finish in 2nd place any longer.
Congrats to all the guys for going.
March 6, 2008: Miscellaneous News
Congrats to Greg Schliesmann for taking 2nd place at the Arnold's. Maybe I should remove the "slickest jiu jitsu" line.
Also keep watch for Justin Lemke's first match as a member of the Miami Force to show on Versus.
February 23, 2008: Freestyle Combat Challenge
Rising Milwaukee mixed martial artists Jacob Kuester and Caleb Krull took to the ring in Kenosha.
Kuester dismantles his opponent in the first round winning by referee stoppage. The native of Iowa was no match for Kuester's power and ability to drop HUGE elbows from top.
Krull, in what could very well have been fight of the night, loses a controversial unanimous decision. After 2 referee restarts after Caleb was in dominant position landing devastating strikes, one judge scored the bought 30-27 in favor of Krull's opponent. Krull had knocked him down twice in round three with strikes. Obviously that judge was paying more attention to the ring card girls.
Caleb did show some amazing heart when in round one was trapped in a tight triangle choke that he held on for almost a minute to end round one.
February 22, 2008: Combat USA Green Bay
Milwaukee mixed martial arts lengend, Adrian Serrano defeats his opponent via rear naked choke in round one. Props to his opponent who took the fight in 24 hour notice.

Turek after landing a powerful knee, finished his fight via guillotine in round one as well.
Herring came out hard with his opponent landing a knee that sent him to the ground, where it was finished by a few short elbows.
January 26, 2008: Plowing through at Combat USA

Kuester brings his record to 7-1 as he defeats Aaron Pechak quickly in round 1 with a rear naked choke.
